How to Listen to This Podcast

Welcome to Sunday at First Baptist, the podcast ministry of First Baptist Church in Greenup, KY. This post will tell you how to listen to this podcast.

A podcast is essentially an MP3 file that is made available for automatic download by any of the many podcast catching programs available. You can click on the title of each post to download that MP3 file directly to your hard drive, and listen to it that way. You can also click on the "Listen Now" button on the right side of the page, and listen without having to download anything.

To subscribe to the syndicated feed, and get the MP3 file automatically whenever it's updated, you need to have podcatching software. iPodder is a very popular program that does an outstanding job. All you have to do is copy the address to the feed (click on the "Feedburner" button, then copy the address that shows up in your browser) and paste it into iPodder.

iTunes has a built-in list of podcasts, and you can subscribe to any podcast you want through iTunes. To subscribe in iTunes, just click the "iTunes One Click" button to the right, and you will be subscribed.

Odeo is an easy way to subscribe. Register for a free account at Odeo, then click the Odeo button on the right -- you will be automatically subscribed. Then you can go to Odeo to listen to the podcast. You don't have to download anything! Odeo has a list of many great podcasts that you'll want to check out.

Podnova is similar to Odeo -- just register for your free account, and click on the button to the right. Go to Podnova to listen.

You can also listen to this podcast at the Podcast Pickle site. Podcast Pickle is a podcast directory that has a player built-in, so you can listen to each sermon there at the site. Unlike Podnova and Odeo, you don't have to register (but you can, and it's free) -- you just have to find the podcast and listen. Click on the "My Pickle Page" button to go straight to the Sunday at First Baptist page.

You don't have to subscribe to the feed -- you can simply come to the page each time you want to download a sermon. Subscribing makes things easier, though, because you don't have to always check back to see if a new sermon has been uploaded and posted -- the software does it for you. However you decide to listen, we are glad that you do.
